Facebook has become a venue for immature and irresponsible people, they use it now to harm someone that what it is originally intended for, and that is to make friends or even meeting someone special. I think there should be some sort of a limit in there, but I do know Facebook personnel are doing their part its up to us really the users to their share and that is being responsible enough to our own actions and deeds.
Lace, You are a beautiful writer. Your words flow like warm honey. I find myself captured by your words that are so strange and distant, yet a comfortable feeling is present!!
I couldn't agree more. I've had some low times perusing Facebook, feeling left out and wondering "why didn't I get invited to that thingie-ma-jing?" It's a total time suck... but sometimes I feel like it's a necessary evil, like dusting.

Dear Lacy of NYC, I admire you profusely. You remind me of my daughter when she was doing some moving from her tiny town of the midwest to nyc. One of her first observations was that when there is nyc moving, sometimes that's taking your belongings to the curb and moving on elsewhere. Interesting. One letter from her went something like this... Dear Mom, this morning (at 7:00 a.m.) on my way to the train I saw a wizard. No joke, a wizard, dressed head to toe, complete with wand, beard and eyes that were blue but cloudy. (that's called cataracts, Brooke) This became a topic of conversations for us on who/what she might see on a stroll in NYC. She came to love the city and I love to visit her, she has since moved to southern cali but I know she thinks of NYC often and with fond memories. Good Luck to you, little one, go home often and call your mom even if you think "I just did that".

Love. That about tops my audition when I sang "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story as a gangly (and not so pretty) 13-year-old.
I am amused.
You captured it....minus skin fetish guy. Loved this post!

Well, at least you don't have to deal with the dating scene submerged in the evils of FBook! P.S. I miss you.

Did it make you cry? I forget. Every once in awhile I sing that song in my head. Heh.
Hey, remember when you sang at their wedding? I do. Quite fondly.
Matthew!!! Out of nowhere!! xoxo
I can see why he might think so, but I know your eyes only look closed in photos when you are smiling.
From what I've heard, NYC NEVER treads lightly. Sorry.
